About Mo

I’m Monique, but everyone calls me Mo. I am the heart behind OTM Kitchen. I’ve been cooking since I was a eight years old. I was always in the kitchen watching my mom and learning along the way. I spent time with my godmother, who is now 100 years old, helping her cook and learning how to make things from scratch. What started as just loving food turned into a real passion.

I cooked my first full homemade Thanksgiving meal at 14, and from there, the kitchen became my space. In college, my place was always the spot where everyone came to eat. I’ve always loved hosting, bringing people together, and recreating flavors I’ve experienced.

I’m the host with the most. I don’t go anywhere without food, and if you come around me, you’re going to eat.

I did attend culinary school, not because I needed to learn how to cook, but to sharpen my skills and learn the structure behind it, including preparation, technique, and consistency.

For me, cooking has always been about more than food. It’s about love, connection, and creating moments people remember. I give all glory to God for the gift and the journey, and I’m grateful to share it through OTM Kitchen.
